Using the results

You may use generated names and other results in your own projects, including books, games and software, with no attribution. Results are combined at random and may match a real person, brand or trademark by chance. Check a name yourself before using it prominently or commercially.

Fake test data

The Fake Name Generator is for software testing, demos and teaching. Do not use its results to deceive anyone, get around a site's rules, or fill in government, financial, medical or employment forms.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, harass or impersonate anyone, or disrupt the site or its security. Do not use a generated name to imply that a real person said or did something.

Name meanings and random results

Name meanings are short summaries and may not be complete or correct for every language, family or tradition. Check with a trusted source before relying on one for an important decision, such as naming a child or a religious occasion. The dice, coin and wheels are for everyday choices and games, and should not be relied on for legal, financial or regulated draws.

Your lists and links

You are responsible for what you enter into the tools. A share link contains your wheel's list, so anyone you send it to can read that list. Avoid putting private information in a shared wheel.

Ownership

The site's design, text and code belong to Basit Murad, apart from public data and third-party material, which belong to their own owners. Please do not copy the site or its written content without permission.

No warranty
