Who uses the Truth or Dare Wheel

Parties and sleepovers

Truth or dare is a classic for a reason, but some people always choose the same option. The wheel takes that choice away and adds a little suspense. Set it to full screen so that the whole room can watch it slow down.

Family game nights

Keep it light with silly dares and easy questions, and it becomes a game for all ages. Younger players often love the spinning most of all, and they can be the ones who press the button.

Getting to know a group

Gentle questions can break the ice at a youth group or a team social. If you are the organiser, write the questions yourself so that they suit the group, and keep the game short and optional.

Long journeys and quiet evenings

A gentle round of truths passes the time well on a long trip. Keep the questions light, and one person can spin for everyone.

Ideas to get the game started

The wheel picks truth or dare, and the group picks the challenge. Here are some friendly starters for family and friends.

Truth questions

  • What is the funniest thing you have ever done by accident?
  • What is a food you pretend to like?
  • Who was your favourite teacher, and why?
  • What is a small habit you would like to change?

Dares

  • Speak in a funny accent until your next turn.
  • Do your best impression of someone famous.
  • Sing the chorus of a song chosen by the group.
  • Balance a book on your head for one minute.

Keeping it fun for everyone

Agree on the rules before you start. Anyone can pass on a question or dare without giving a reason, and nothing should be dangerous, embarrassing or unkind.

Truth or Dare Wheel questions

Does the wheel give me the questions and dares?

It chooses between truth and dare, and the group then picks the challenge. There are starter ideas on this page. You could also add your own questions and dares to the wheel as separate entries.

Can I change the odds?

Yes. Each line has an equal chance, so adding Truth twice and Dare once makes truth more likely. You can also add options such as Double Dare, or Pass. Press Reset to restore the original list.

How do we keep the game safe?

Agree before you begin that anyone can pass without giving a reason. Rule out anything dangerous, anything that could hurt or embarrass someone, and anything private. Adults should keep an eye on games with children.

Is the wheel fair?

Yes. The result comes from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, with an equal chance for each line. The wheel then spins to land on that result, so nobody can time their press to influence it.

Do we each need a phone?

No. One screen is enough, and you can pass it around or share it on a television. Nothing needs to be installed, and no one needs an account.

Can we play with more than two options?

Yes. Add lines such as Group dare or Ask the player on your left, and each one gets its own slice on the wheel, with an equal chance of being chosen.
